Tolman received the Critics' Choice Television Award for her performance in the category Best Supporting Actress, Movies/Miniseries. In addition to that, her nominations in the category of Best Actress were received at the Emmy Awards as well as the Golden Globes. In the same year it was announced that Tolman will make an role on the Mindy Project in the role of Abby Berman who is a romance author.
